Kevin R. Page, 64, of Wolcott, passed away on December 3, 2020 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Lafayette surrounded by family. The Lord called him home in a peaceful manner.
He was born on February 17, 1956 in Toledo to Mildred Louise (Heuerman) and the now late Donald Edwin Page. On August 13, 1977 he married Laura Quinn in Springfield, OH and she survives.
Kevin was a graduate of Sylvania High School in Sylvania, OH and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville in Police Administration. He was owner and operator of WMRS Radio Station in Monticello. Kevin enjoyed waking up the community for over 30 years on WMRS Radio. He was known for his corny jokes. We will miss his banter with Laura on the Super Trading Post.
His life was well lived, and he was well loved! Kevin was a dedicated and integral part of the community and advocate for the County. Kevin loved his community. He was the emcee of various parades, served on boards, and been a part of many organizations. Kevin was really looking forward to being the peoples voice as a White County Commissioner. He was a member of Libanus Lodge #154 F & AM of Monticello, Scottish Rite and the Monticello Kiwanis Club where he served as past president. Under his guidance, WMRS was a two-time winner of Radio Station of the Year and four-time winner of the Cardinal Community Service award from the Indiana Broadcasters Association, numerous Crystal Communicator awards for the WMRS Indy prerace show. Kevin was Man of the Year in the 2016 Herald Journal.
Kevin loved his Bulldogs. Above all, he loved his family. Family was a pivotal essence of Kevins life. He has been a major presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Kevin would be at every event his children participated in and was normally the first in the stands as he was known to be early to everything. This funny, loving, giving, and wonderful man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by his wife and best friend of 43 years, Laura Page of Wolcott; mother, Mildred Page of Sylvania, OH; his children, Brandi Page (Adam Williams) of Monticello, Robbie (Kristen) Page of Walhonding, OH, and Jaime (Angelo Jr) Valle of Monticello. He was a proud grandfather to Ava, Haley, Paige, and Angelo III; sisters, Barb Fallis (John), Jan Dermer (Jack); father-in-law, Dr Gerald Quinn; brothers-in-law, James Quinn (Millie), Bruce Quinn (Mitzi), & Daniel Quinn (Beth); many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
In addition to his father, Donald Page he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Page; a nephew, Bobby; and his mother-in-law, Helen Quinn.
Kevin will forever be remembered for his goofy sense of humor, love for his family, and caring heart. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and know he is watching over all of us.
