Kenneth L. Beaumont , 82, of Monticello died at 6:31 pm Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at St Elizabeth East Hospital of Lafayette. He was born January 14, 1929 at Indianapolis to the late Leo Meriel and Rachel (Hoy) Beaumont. His marriage was to Mary Alice Spoon on March 21, 1952 at Indianapolis and she survives. He was an active member of the Monticello First Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and was a veteran of the United State Army. He served in the first infantry army as a first lieutenant from 1951 until 1953. He worked in the insurance industry in the private sector as well as in a state capacity and was retired from the Indiana Department of Insurance. He worked part-time at Indiana Beach since 2002. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Am Vets, and American Legion all of Monticello . He was a member of the Brookside Lodge No. 720 F&AM. In addition to his wife Mary Alice, he is survived by daughters, Bonnie Beaumont of Indianapolis, Sherry Beaumont of Indianapolis; son, Jeff (Lisa) Beaumont of Indianapolis; Brother, Michael Jay (Leslie) Beaumont of Noblesville; four grandchildren: and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Visitation will be from 1 pm until 3 pm, Saturday, February 19 at the First Presbyterain Church of Monticello. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm, Saturday, at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, with Rev. Tom Albaum officiating. Graveside committal services with military rites will be at 2 pm, Monday, February 21, at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis . Memorial contributions may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, or to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available.
