Karen Kay (Hartman) Wiseley, 72, of Monticello left this world on Sunday, February 14, 2016 to join her mother, father, and loved ones that she has missed for so many years. Karen was born in Camden on June 16, 1943, the third child of the late Grover and Beatrice (Minthorn) Hartman. She was raised in Camden and attended school there until she could learn no more. On August 31, 1983, in Delphi, she married the love of her life, Jim A. Wiseley. Jim Survives and resides in Monticello. Karen and Jim spent several years in Delphi before moving to Monticello, residing on Bluewater Drive and then on Fisher Street. When she was no longer able to take care of herself, she moved to Whispering Pines now known as Lakeview Village. There she had a very good life and made many friend and enemies, but it was home to her. She volunteered in the Laundry helping Brenda Collins, in the dining room placing cloth protectors and tablecloths on the tables, and in the activity room helping Tina Snider.She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and Kiwanis Aktion Club. She enjoyed the Red Hat Society visits to Lakeview Village and loved wearing a red hat during those visits. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing games, especially Skip bo, particularly when she was winning. Karen was a special lady and will be missed.She leaves behind a sister, Janet (husband, Joe) McCain of flora; brothers Gerald (wife, Anita) Hartman, and Larry (wife, Sue) Hartman both of Camden; eleven nephews; eight nieces; fourteen great nephews; seven great nieces, eight great-great nephews; five great-great nieces; father-in-law, Alfred W. Wiseley of Westpoint; brother-in-law, Bill Wiseley of Westpoint; sisters-in-law, Jane (husband, Steve) Pease of California, Peggy (husband, Joe) Pease of Tennesse; and three step-sisters, Laura, Cindy, and Tina.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a half-sister; a nephew; a great niece; and a brother-in-law.Visitation will be from 1 pm until the time of services celebrating Karens life at 3 pm, Friday, February 19, 2016 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Rev. Sue Ringenbach of the Monticello United Methodist Church officiating.
