Julie Ann Huff, born on October 21, 1955, in Elgin, Illinois transitioned to her eternal home peacefully surrounded by family on March 21st, 2025.
Julie was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you forever remember Julie by the way that she lived her life, and the profound impact that it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Julie is survived by the love of her life, Kenneth Earl Huff, whom she married on November 3, 1973. She also leaves behind her two daughters: Shelly (Josh) Thedans, Jessica (Chris) Morris, three grandsons: Michael (fiancé Emma) Hirt, Peyton (fiancé Kelsey) Hirt, and Jaden Baker: four granddaughters: Ella Baker, Ronin Morris, Taylor Lamb, and Madison Lamb, and two great-grandsons: Paxton Hirt and Kenneth Hirt.
Julie was welcomed into heaven by her loving parents along with her father-in-law, her brother and a sister.
Julie embraced life fearlessly, from soaring over Hawaii in a helicopter to experiencing the thrill of skydiving. She took on every adventure with enthusiasm, whether it was riding a mechanical bull, ziplining over Downtown Las Vegas, or riding a donkey down the dangerously narrow paths of the Grand Canyon. She approached life with courage and an open heart, always eager for the next great experience.
While she loved adventure, the most important thing in Julie’s life was family. Her and Ken created a beautiful life. She was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest supporter - you could find her at every sporting event, band competition, or school play they were in (everyone would know she was there when you heard her infamous whistle above all the cheers). She created unforgettable memories by playing whatever game anyone wanted to play, attending any Chicago team sporting event that they loved, as well as sharing consistently her love of travel with the entire family. Julie’s happiest moments were when family and friends all gathered together. Everyone felt welcome in her presence and she didn’t know a stranger.
Julie’s unwavering faith was the foundation of her kindness, strength, and generosity. Her dedication to her faith and her desire to bring light to those in need embodied her joyful and generous nature. While all that know her will ache for her presence here on Earth, we will find rest knowing she is free from pain and worries in the comfort of her Heavenly Father’s arms.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at United Methodist Church in Monticello, Indiana. A service will immediately follow.
Flowers will be accepted (please no roses, Julie’s favorite flower was a carnation), or memorial contributions may be made to the family and will be directed to some of Julie’s favorite organizations in her honor.
Friends and family are encouraged to share a photo, a memory, or messages of condolence at www.springervoorhisdraper.com
