Joshua R. Stepp, 22 of Monticello, died at 3:44 am, Tuesday, April 2 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette. He was born August 11, 1990 in Lafayette to Philip L. and Traci (Ohman) Stepp who survive and reside in Monticello. Josh was a member of the Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church. He was a 2009 graduate of Twin Lakes High School where he played football and basketball. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. His other interests included hunting and fishing. He was most recently employed by Tele Services. He was most passionate with his job on the farm. Above all, he cherished time hanging out with his friends including his brothers and sisters. Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Rick (Pat) Begley of Buffalo; paternal grandparents, Gilbert L. (Mary Ellen) Stepp of Star City; girlfriend, Natalie Wilbanks of Brookston; three brothers, Philip Tyler Stepp of Austin, Texas, Travis Alan Stepp of Indianapolis, Jacob Lee Vincent Stepp of Monticello; two sisters, Abigail Rebecca Stepp of Monticello, Alison Renee Stepp of Monticello; niece, Rylynn Elizabeth Stepp of Monticello; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda L. Begley; and cousin, Richard Curtis Ray. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm, Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church, located east of Walmart. Friends may also call one hour prior to services at the church Monday. Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Monday at Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Ross Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church. Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello is entrusted with care.
