Josephine I. Morgan, 85, of Monticello died at 9:20 am, Friday, June 15, 2012 at Whispering Pines in Monticello. She was born December 23, 1926 in Southend on Sea in London, England to the late Leo and Doris (Boden) Sheldrick. Her marriage was to Percy Morgan on December 30, 1947 in Bridgend, Wales. He preceded her in death June 14, 1999. She was a member of St. Gabriels Catholic Church in Connersville and attended Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello. She graduated schools in England. She and her late husband, Percy, moved to the United States from England in 1954 and were proud when they became American Citizens in 1976. She worked as an assembly line worker for Stants Manufacturing in Connersville, a manufacturer of automotive parts. She was a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary. She had been a member of the Connersville Country Club. She enjoyed knitting and golf. She was an excellent cook and was known for her Welsh cakes. Above all, she cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies. She was called "Super Nanny" by her great-grandbabies. She is survived by 3 daughters, Frances (Randy) Hildebrand of Aurora, Josephine (Wesley) Burden of Plymouth; Sharon (Larry) Lods of Monticello; 2 sons, Stephen Morgan of Columbus, Ohio, William (Wendy) Morgan of New Castle; brother-in-law, Colm Bradley of Vancouver, Canada; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandbabies, and 2 great-grandbabies on the way. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shelia Bradley. Private family services were held Monday at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Father Gerald Borwaski officiated.
