John T. Ambrose

John T. Ambrose, Jr., 69, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at I U Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

He was born on June 5, 1955 in Brownsville, PA to the late John T. and Pauline (Litwinovich) Ambrose.

He retired from the hot strip at U.S. Steel in Gary. He lived across from Indiana Beach where he enjoyed walking the board walk, conversing with others, and playing pinball.

He loved spending time with his daughter and son-in-law and spoiling his grandson. At home, he enjoyed the company of his cats.

He is survived by children, Michelle A. (Richard) Drzewiecki of Danville, IL and Michael T. Ambrose of Valparaiso; his grandson, Rowan Drzewiecki; siblings, Janet Dow of Muskegon, MI and James Ambrose of Valparaiso. 

n addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Judy Ambrose.

Graveside services and burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 1pm (EST) or Noon (CT). 

Memorial contributions may be given to an animal rescue or shelter of the donor's choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
