Jeanne M. Clerget

Jeanne M. Clerget, 67, of Monticello, died at 4:40 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette. She was born September 4, 1945 in Monticello to the late Howard F. and Dorothy E. (Wilson) Wert. She married Jerry Clerget on April 30, 1966 and they later divorced. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lafayette. She had worked at RCA, and for a short period of time, at CDC Resources until she took a position with Hardebeck Trucking. She loved animals, Elvis, and working crossword puzzles. She is survived by three daughters, Valerie Clerget of Lafayette, Vickie Clerget of Monticello, Lisa Murray of Monticello; son, Michael (Jori) Clerget of Monticello; four grandchildren, Emily, Ruben, Rebecca, Miya; and one great-grandson, Keegan. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Karl Wert; and her twin sister, Joan Wert. Visitation will be from 4 pm until the time of services at 7 pm, Tuesday, January 22 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Pastor Blake Hall of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Graveside committal services will be at 11 am Wednesday, at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery in rural Monticello. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lupus Foundation.
