Jean H. Doud, 86, of Monticello passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 11:25 a.m. at White County Memorial Hospital. She was born January 21, 1921 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Noel Dewey and the late Audrey (Burns) Dewey. Her marriage was to the late Basil Doud on September 22, 1940. He passed away on April 6, 1992. Mrs. Doud graduated from Monticello High School. Mrs. Doud was primarily a homemaker, but had worked as a telephone operator for a number of years. She was a member of the Zion Bethel Church in Monticello. She was a volunteer with the Monticello Contact, which was a crisis hotline. Survivors include: Daughter, Pamela (David) Crowe of Tompkinsville, KY Son, Dennis (Debra) Doud of Ft. Wayne, IN Sister, Iris (Paul) White of Bradenton, FL 3 Grandsons, Kevin D. (Carol) Crowe of Bowling Green, KY, Kristopher D. (Lisa) Crowe of Alvaton, KY, Brennan E. Doud of Ft. Wayne, IN Granddaughter, Aubree F. Doud of Ft. Wayne, IN 4 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, infant son, Ricky Loren Doud and one sister, Marge Moore. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the Zion Bethel Church located at 415 S. Third St., Monticello. Funeral services will immediately follow at Zion Bethel Church, Thursday, November 29, 2007, at 1p.m. with Pastor Jeff Messer officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview I.O.O.F.
