James D. Clark, 69, of South Bend, IN, formerly of Monticello, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at 3:35pm at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1937 in Ashland, Wisconsin to the late Walter W. Clark and the late Flossie Mae (Flower) Clark. He married Beverly K. (Parker) Clark. She passed away July 26, 1992. Mr. Clark was Veteran of the United States Navy. He attended the Monticello United Methodist Church while living in Monticello. Mr. Clark was a Union Steam Fitter and member of the Local 172 from which he retired. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge and also the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the American Legion in South Bend, IN. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing. He liked cars of all types, motorcyles, boating and skiing. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Assocation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Survivors include: Son, David (Renee) Clark of Fowler, IN; Brother, John (Fern) Clark of Ozark, AL; Sister, Dona Smith of Avon, IN; 3 Grandsons, Andrew Clark, Tanner Clark, Isaac Clark Preceded in Death: Parents, wife, and Sister, Joyce Scheller. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 9am until the time of funeral services at 11am at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, 202 S. Illinois St., Monticello, IN 47960. Burial will be at Hughes Cemetery near Monticello.
