Ivan Carl Kesler

Ivan Carl Kesler, 71, of Monticello, IN, died peacefully Sunday, November 8th, 2015 in his home. Ivan was dearly loved and is survived by his wife Linda, sons Rodney and Marty, sisters Doris Griffin and Jenna Doyle, and many loyal and caring family and friends. Preceding him in death was his twin brother Alvin Earl Kesler and his sister Peggy Doyle. He was a crane operator for Wirtz & Yates and a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 103 for 45 years. Ivan could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and mastered and loved the art of woodworking. He often spoke of reuniting with his sidekick Toby, one of the dozen dogs he had over the course of his life. Ivan would like to let everyone know that his work here is done. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be waiting to see everyone again. Ivan requested cremation with no funeral services be held, and everything be private for the family. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, he requested donations be made to the Happy Tails Animal Care Center of Monticello, IN, or Guardian Angel Hospice of Kokomo, IN. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten by his loving family. He wanted people to remember him and celebrate his life, not death. Springr-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello is entrusted with care.
