Ida Pearl Lotz, 73, of Monticello, died at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at IU Health Arnett Hospital of Lafayette. She was born September 15, 1938 in Cartwright, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Earnest H. Brown and Anna Mae (Sidwell) Brown who survives in Portland, Indiana. She married Milton B. "Milt" Lotz on September 10, 1960 in the United Methodist Church in Portland, Indiana and he survives. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. She was a 1957 graduate of Portland High School and was a graduate of the Lutheran School of Nursing in Fort Wayne. She was a Registered Nurse working at many hospitals in many different departments. For sixteen years, she worked as the nurse for Twin Lakes School Corporation. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau, Silly Sisters Chapter of the Red Hat Society, and had been a member of Jobs Daughters. She loved her grandbabies and creating family photo albums and scrapbooks. She enjoyed flower gardening, landscaping, wintering in Florida, traveling, and sightseeing. She loved to shop. She was an excellent cook. She is also survived by a daughter, Teresa Ann (Brian) Shaffer of Utica, Kentucky; two sons, Michael V. (Sarah) Lotz of Monticello, Eric William (Stacey) Lotz of Lafayette; sister, Helen (Jack) Rouch of Portland, IN; brother, Michael (Sharon) Brown of Portland, IN; twelve grandchildren, Christopher George Manis, Joseph Buckmaster Manis, Scott Dylan Manis, Katie Joan Lotz, Levi Michael Lotz, Tessa Mae Lotz, Lia Marie Lotz, Tanner Zane Lotz, Megan Michelle Morrow, Farrah Marquise Walker, Kevin Ryan Shaffer, Kimberly Ann Shaffer; six great-grandchildren Brailyn Rae Catherine Manis, Elijah Dylan Doughty Manis, Hadley Grace Rice, Laynee Star West, Trey Christopher Manis, and Lucas Hopkins. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; and a sister. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at 2pm, Saturday, April 21 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Rev.
