Helen Nadine Moncel, 96, of Monticello, formerly of Francesville, IN, passed away at 8:45am on Sunday, July 6, at White Oak Health Campus, Monticello. She was born April 3, 1918 in Attica to the late Albert Lloyd and Elma (Talbert)Mills. She held other jobs in the following years at the Maidenform Factory in Monon, IN; Shumakers Coil Factory in Rensselaer, IN; and the T & C Drive-In in Francesville, IN. She loved to cook. Her pies, fried chicken and home made noodles were family famous and no one could make tapioca pudding or oatmeal like "Grandma." Gardening was another favorite pastime but her favorite thing was being with and caring for her family. She is survived by son Billy Ben (Linda) of Monticello and daughters Jan (Ted) Westphal Sparta, TN and Noreen (Ron) Gronewold of Monticello; three grandchildren - Tracy, Aaron and Elizabeth and four great grandsons Brandon, James, Dylan and Carson and a special niece Bonita (Don) Henricks, Knox, IN.
