Helen M. Cramer

Helen M. Cramer, 98, of Monticello, formerly of Idaville passed away at 10:30 pm, Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Lakeview Village Senior Living formerly Whispering Pines Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 29, 1917 in Carroll County to the late John H. and Florence (Roller) Dimmitt. On November 27, 1942 she married Wilbur Cramer in Pittsboro. He preceded her in death February 13, 1994. Helen was a 1935 graduate of Monticello High School and was homemaker. She was a former member of the Eastlawn United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was active in the church. For a number of years, she wrote the Idaville news for the Monticello paper. She was a member of the "April Kittens" birthday club. She enjoyed cooking, vegetable gardening, and reading. She is survived by son, Keith L. (Kathy) Cramer of Elkhart, daughter, Vicki K. (Mike) Rardon of Monticello; grandchildren, seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Cramer; and brothers, Raymond and Gerald Dimmitt. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00 pm Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastor Bob Houser officiating from Life Song Church. Burial will follow at Idaville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
