Helen L. Mccloud

Helen L. McCloud, 94, of Monticello, passed away at 9:45 pm, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.She was born on May 15, 1921 in Lebanon to the late Wesley, Sr. and Ica (Downs) Dulin.On September 7, 1943 she married Rowland F. McCloud in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2005.Helen and her husband Rowland had lived in the White/Carroll County area most all of their lives. They wintered in Florida after she retired. She had worked at Bryan Manufacturing and True Flight Arrow both of Monticello, retiring in 1976. Helen had also worked at the R.B.M. factory in Logansport during World War II. She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church and attended Oak Grove Christian Church. She was also a member of the Christian Women Fellowship, Indiana Square Dancers, Round Dancers Association and Promenaders Square Dance Club in Port Charlotte, FL. She had also been an active member with the White County Council on Aging.She is survived by long time close friend Charli Snow of Monticello; 3 daughters, Sharon (James) Haygood, Elaine (Clarence "Butch") Holmes, and Judy Willoughby all of Monticello; 7 grandchildren, Todd (Shannon) Girard, Aaron (Dawn) Girard, Jeff Haygood, Michelle (Neil) Beiswanger, Lori (Tony) Fitz, Troy (Noreen) Holmes, David (Faith) Willoughby; 15 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Willoughby; sister, Geneva Dulin, brother, Wesley, Jr. Dulin and grandson, Randy Willoughby.Visitation will be on Friday, January 22, 2016 from noon until the time of funeral services celebrating Helen's life at 3:00 pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Dr. Ashli Cartwright-Peak and Rev. Chris Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F Cemetery, rural Monticello.Memorial contributions may be given to Oak Grove Christian Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
