Harry Leo Maxfield, 73, Monticello, died at 3:30p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. He was born on December 28, 1935 at Elliott, IL to the late C.A. and Macie E. Riggleman Maxfield. He attended John Greer High School. He had served in The United States Marine Corp. He was a truck driver for Preston Trucking Company from which he retired. He had been a member of the American Legion, AMVETS, and the Moose Lodge all of Monticello. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and was a Chicago Bears fan. Survivors Include: 2 Sons, Curtis (Julie) Maxfield of Portage, IN, Terry Maxfield of Lakeworth,, FL; 5 Daughters, Teresa Maxfield of Monticello, Darla (Paul) Goodner of Lakeworth, , FL, Karen (Joe) Rush of Monticello, Trisha (Jamie) Downey of Delphi, Joanie (Tracey) Schick of Lafayette; and Sister, Evelyn T. (Jim) Jones of Watseka, IL; Several nieces and nephews; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, one Brother, three Sisters and one Great Grandson. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm, Friday August 21, 2009 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10am Saturday at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funernal Home with Celebrant Carla Barker Officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Cemetery, Gibson City, IL.
