Harold C. Jehn, 95, of Monticello, passed away at 10:14 am, Saturday, April 11, 2009 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1913 in Berlin, Wisconsin the late Henry W. and Lillian W. (Wagner) Jehn His first marrige was to Leona Markeby, and she preceded him in death. He later married Hester Forsythe on May 29, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio. She passed away March 29, 1996. Mr. Jehn served in the United States Army from 1940-1944. He had been a government employee and had worked at the Battle Creek Veterans Hospital, Battle Creek, MI, and also at the U.S. Naval Base in Columbus, OH. He later owned a pizza house in Columbus, Ohio from 1963 to 1973 from which he retired. He enjoyed having lunch and attending church services at White County Council for the Aging. Survivors include: Son, Elton L. (Patricia) Jehn of Westerville, Ohio; Benjamen F. (Nettie) Jehn of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; 2 Step-Daughters, Jeri (Sam) Westerhouse of Buffalo, Bette Forsythe of Columbus, Ohio; 19 Grandchildren ; and 3 Great-Grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1pm, Thursday, April 16 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home, at 1 pm with Rev. Chris Dodson of the Monticello Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
