Gladys I. Clark

Gladys I. Clark,91, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 5:45AM at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born March 23, 1917 in Monticello, IN to the late John and Mary(Weaver)Barnes. Her marriage was to Everett Clark on August 9, 1936 at the Monticello Christian Church. He passed away in June of 2006. Mrs. Clark graduated from Monticello High School. She had worked at Kroger as a cashier and in the meat department. She also assisted in the office . She worked for Clark and Moore and was Co-Founder of the Clark and Moore Packing Company, where later, along with her husband, became sole owners of the business. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. She was a past member of the Rebekahs. She was a member of local Home-Ec Clubs. She liked ceramics and crocheting, and enjoyed flowers. Memorials may be made to the White County Council on Aging, or the Monticello United Methodist Church. She is survived by her: Daughter, Sharon (Jim) Brown of Monticello, IN Brother, Robert (Imogene "Gene") Barnes of Monticello, IN Grandson, Mark (Holly) Dame of Bloomington, IN Great-Grandchild, Abigail Dame She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brothers, Henry and Oliver Barnes; Sister, Sarah. Visitation will will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Noon with Pastor Brian Beeks and Pastor Keith Raderstorf of the Monticello United Methodist Church officiating.
