George Douglas "Doug" Livesay, 54, of Onward, died at 3:41 am, on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Monticello Healthcare and Assisted Living. He was born in Monticello on March 21, 1959 to the late George and Naomi (Fife) Livesay. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the AmVets Post #7 of Morristown, TN. While living in Tennessee, he had been a member of the Free Spirit Church. He worked as an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is survived by his children, Amber M. Livesay of Monticello, Ashley A. Livesay (companion, Kyle King) of Idaville, Aaron, Jeff, and Jennifer Anderson all of Logansport; three brothers, Steve (Linda) Livesay of Onward, Mike Livesay of Tazewell, TN, David (Becky) Livesay of Monticello; two sisters, Laura Gosnell (fiance, James Causey) of Pigeon Forge, TN, Kathy Anderson (companion, Robbie Salisbury) of Anderson; and thirteen grandchildren. He was also preceded death by a grandson. Visitation will be from 2pm until the time of funeral services at 5pm, Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rev. Chris Murphy from the Idaville First Church of God will officiate services. Memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of Linda Livesay to help with expenses.
