Gary Hanna

Gary Gene Hanna, 57, of Monticello, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 16, 2018 in Monticello.He was born on April 9, 1960 in Monticello to the late Gene and Helen (VanMeter) Hanna. On April 12, 1980 he married Theresa "Terry" Miller at the Monticello United Methodist Church and she survives. He was a 1978 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He was owner and operator of Gary Hanna Construction since 1985. Gary grew up on Lake Shafer and enjoyed fishing and time spent on the water. He was a NASCAR fan. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.In addition to his wife Theresa "Terry", surviving are his daughters, April Hanna of Lafayette and Emily Hanna of Indianapolis; sisters, Carol Brown of Lafayette and Texas, Cheryl Statzer of Indianapolis, and Billie Alpha of Lafayette; and granddaughter, Allegra Hanna.Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Private family graveside services will be on Wednesday at Riverview I.O.O.F.
