Floyd C. Carter Jr, 61, of Monticello, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
He was born on January 7, 1958 in Monticello to the late Floyd C. and LaVetta Mae (Johnson) Carter.
Floyd had worked as a carpet installer.
He was a member of Cornerstone Community Church. He was also a member of the AmVets Auxiliary.
He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs, watching the television show Ridiculousness, spending time and sitting by campfires with the love of his life Carolyn.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Carolyn Franklin of Monticello; his children, Sabrina of Florida, Tiffany Loughry of North Judson, Travis (Meachelle) Loughry of Monticello, LaVetta (Patrick) Cain of West Virginia, Alicia (Joe) Carter of Yeoman, and Latricia Carter of Yeoman; siblings, Doris (Aaron) Issler of New Port Richey, FL, JoAnn (Darren) Reed of Monticello, John W. Carter of Monticello, and Sharon Shank of Monticello; fourteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 5 pm until 7 pm, on Monday May 20, 2019 at Cornerstone Community Church located at 400 North & East Shafer Dr. in Monticello.
Funeral services celebrating Floyd's life will follow at 7 pm at the church with Pastor, Julian Herrera officiating.
