Faye Shields, 76, of Monticello died at 7 pm, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at her residence. She was born January 20, 1934 in the family home at Buffalo to the late Tom and Iva Mae (Kellogg) Westerhouse. Her marriage was to John "Jack" Shields on April18, 1958 in the Monticello Christian Church. He preceded her in death December 2, 2007. Faye was a 1952 graduate of Pioneer High School. She was a member of Pike Creek Church of the Brethren. She retired in 1999 as a cook from Twin Lakes High School. She was a past member of the Women of the Moose. She was an avid gardener. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and quilting. She also enjoyed lunch with the girls. She cherished time spent with her family camping. She is survived by a son, Jeff A. "Lurch" ( Susan) Shields of Delphi; two daughters, Kalene S. (Michael) Bunnell of Monticello, Kim K. (Darrel) Wiley of Delphi; sister, Dorothy Burget of Monticello; four grandsons, Kyle (Becky) Bunnell, Evan Wiley, Justin Wiley, and John Shields; four granddaughters, Jessica (Mark) Corso, Jennifer (John) Todd, Greer Keith, Alicia (Rich) Kimberly; two great-grandsons, Micah and Logan; and a great-granddaughter, Jayciee She is also preceded in death by a son, John T. Shields; a brother, Tom "Bud" Westerhouse; and a sisiter Wilma Lyons. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm, Sunday, April 4 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Metzinger of Pike Creek Church of the Brethren officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
