Esther Venita Alma

Esther Venita Alma, 92 , of Monticello, died at 12:32 pm, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Manor Care Prestwick in Avon. She was born May 4, 1918 in Monticello to the late Emil and Marie (Renwick)Cain. Her marriage was to the late Clyde Edwin "Mike" Alma on August 31, 1946. He died August 7, 2009. She was a 1936 graduate of Monticello High School. She received her Associate Degree from a Kentucky Business College. Mrs. Alma was primarily a homemaker, and had worked part time for L. S. Ayres and Speedway State Bank for a number of years. She was a member of the Monticello First Presbyterian Church where she was once very active at the church including the Presbyterian Women. She is survived by a Daughter, Carolyn (James) Reimer of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Son, Michael (Sueann) Alma of Brownsburg, IN; Grandchildren, Kristie, Jody, Stacy and Jennifer; Great-Grandchildren, Makayla, Isabella and Tyler She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Cain and a sister Lura Fix. Visitation will be held from 11:30 am Friday, September 10, until the time of service at 1:30pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Albaum of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery in rural Monticello.
