Esther R. Rosentreter, 89, of Monticello died at 9:50 am, Thursday, July 28, 2011 I.U. Health White Memorial Hospital. She was born November 3, 1921 in DeKalb County, Indiana to the late Ray E. and Inez (Seymour) Webb. Her marriage was to Ralph J. Rosentreter on July 24, 1945 in Reynolds. He preceded her in death October 26, 2010. She was a graduate of Reynolds High School. Esther was a homemaker and a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. She was a member of Tri Kappa. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Fort Nightly Bridge Club. Survivors include daughters, Nancy (John) Lewis of Kansas City, Kansas, Susan (Jim) Novak of Agoura Hills, California; son, James (Connie) Rosentreter of Franklin, Indiana; son-in-law Tom Westfall of Reynolds; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Beth Westfall; sisters, Eva Mac Owen and Doris Shaffer; and brother, Clyde Webb. Funeral services will be at 3pm Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Blakey of St. James Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be one prior to services, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello. Memorial contributions may be given to St. James Lutheran Church or to the White County Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
