Erma M. Musall, 91, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Ascension St.Vincent Hospital in Carmel.
She was born on April 18, 1931 in Pulaski, IN to the late Clarence and Dessie Smith. On July 17, 1949 she married Robert Musall in Pulaski. He preceded her in death October 16, 2014.
Erma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monticello. She worked for the First National Bank in Monticello. Erma and her late husband Bill owned and operated Musall's Garden Center from establishment in 1974 until she retired in 2005. She was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, Flying Farmers and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary. Erma and Bill were together for over 65 years. They loved to travel in their airplane and later in life on their Goldwing Motorcycle. They also enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the running water from their pond. She enjoyed dancing and preparing holiday dinners for her family.
Surviving are her children, Debbie (Larry) Runyon of Wildwood, MO, Wanda (Lynn) Smilley, Bob (Peg) Musall, and Bill (Sydney) Musall all of Monticello; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Bill she was also preceded in death by a infant son, Frederick Musall; and three brothers, Don, Jerry and Aryle Smith.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 11 am until the time of funeral services at 1pm celebrating Erma's life at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rev. Ian McMillan from the First Baptist Church will officiate services.
Delta Theta Tau services will be rendered at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
