Elvia L. Lopez, 67, of Monticello, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her residence.
She was born on November 25, 1956 in Guadalajara, Mexico to the late Athony Lopez and Maria Reyes.
She retired from Black Stone Manufacturing in Chicago. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. She loved cooking and her granddaughter, loved her Poz Ole. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, word search and solitaire. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter, Maria Carbajal of Monon, and son, Jose Lopez of Monticello; grandchildren, Adrian Guerrero, Adamari Carbajal, and Jose Carbajal, Jr.; two brothers; and three sisters.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her companion of thirty years, Celestino Diaz; and three brothers.
