Elizabeth A. "Libby" Dahlenburg, 88, of Reynolds died at 11:00 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Whispering Pines. She was born March 17, 1921 at Monon to the late Fred and Nell(Brandenburg) Baker. Her marriage was to Carl W. Dahlenburg Jr. May 22, 1939 at LaCross, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2003. She was a 1938 graduate of Reynolds High School. Mrs. Dahlenburg was a member of the former Gurnsey Methodist Church and later of the Reynolds United Methodist Church where she was active in the Womens Study Club, and also the quilters of the Study Club. She was a member of the Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority of Chalmers. She had worked at the former Bryan's Manufacturing at Monticello, Jessup Paper Company at Brookston, and retiring from the Indiana State Highway Department, where she worked 16 years as clerk-typist. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and traveling. Survivors include a son,William Dahlenburg of Reynolds; a daughter, Kay (William) Monnett of Centennial, CO; and a sister, Dorothy (Keith) Culp of Monticello. Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm, Monday, November 9, 2009 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services Tuesday at the Church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, at Reynolds United Methodist Church with Rev. Andrea Bremmer officiating. Burial will be at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello.
