Elaine Mcmurray

Elaine McMurray, 84, of West Lafayette died at 7:40 pm, Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Indiana Veterans Home of West Lafayette. She was born March 19, 1926 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Cecil and Mabel (Monger) Johnson. Her marriage was to Wayne D. McMurray in May of 1943, and he preceded her in death in June of 1982. She attended Lafayette Jefferson High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Lafayette. She is survived by a son, Ron (Bev) McMurray of Monticello; daughters, Toni (Roy) Jessee of West Lafayette, Monica (David) Seaman of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Bill Johnson and Cecil Johnson Jr.; sisters Margaret Jane Johnson and Dee Werner; and a grandson Timothy Seaman Visitation will be private. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 pm, Sunday, November 28, at Yeoman Cemetery with Rev. Don Haase officiating.
