Edward Pratt

Edward D. Pratt, 89, of Burnettsville, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at his residence.He was born on April 7, 1935 in Pulaski County to the late Lindle and Ceceila (DuBois) Pratt. On October 22, 1955, he married Catherine Weaver at St. Peters Catholic Church in Winamac.

He was a 1954 graduate of Winamac High School. He served in the United States Army during Korea. He worked at RCA and then in maintenance at the State Hospital in Logansport from where he retired in 2000. In addition, he worked at his hobby, blacksmithing shoeing horses and making wrought iron furniture and decorative pieces in his spare time. Ed enjoyed carpentry and building things around his home and for others in need. 

Ed was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello. He was a 4th degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus St. John Neumann Council #6955 of Monticello where he organized the 4th degree.. 

In addition to his wife, Catherine, he is survived by his grandson, Jesse M. Blanton of Logansport; brothers, Terry (Cindy) Pratt and Gerry Pratt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Betina Pratt; his son, Jesse Edward Pratt; siblings, Linda Garbison, Vernon Pratt, Jerry Pratt, Timothy Pratt, and Ronald Pratt.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:45 am on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello.

The Rosary will be prayed at 11:45 am followed by a noon Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Dan Duff celebrating.
