E. Naomi Lontz, 94 of Lancaster, PA formerly of Idaville, died at 11:45 pm, Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Evergreen Estates Retirement Community in Lancaster. She was born May 26, 1915 at Rossville to the late Jerry and Elsie (Wagoner) Holsinger. Her marriage was to Floyd "Spike" Lontz on June 20, 1935 in Monticello. He preceded her in death in August of 1981. She was a 1934 graduate of Idaville High School. Mrs. Lontz was a member of the Eastlawn United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 50 years, and was active with the United Methodist Women. She co-owned and operated the grocery store in Idaville for many years. She was a member of Lincoln Life Home Ec Club. She loved quilting and taught quilting until she was 93. She was a member of the Chatty Hatters of Lancaster. She was a member of the Calico Cut-Ups of Idaville. Mrs. Lontz also enjoyed many other crafts. She is survived by a son, Thomas (Ann) Lontz of Lancaster, PA; daughter-in-law, Linda Lontz of Lockport, IL; sister, Olive Pierce of Lafayette; two grandsons, Bradley (Marcie) Lontz, Brian (Christy) Lontz; two granddaughters, Lisa (Ted) Martin, Lora (Jim) Vejvoda; and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son Richard Lontz. Visitation will be from Noon until the 2pm (EDT) service time Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Raderstorf of the Monticello Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Idaville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
