Douglas Allen Snowberger, 63, of Burnettsville, died at 10:50 pm, Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1950 in Francesville to the late Virgil and Thelma D. (Stotler) Snowberger who survives and resides in Monticello. Doug was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He worked at Globe Valve formerly Delphi in production for 34 years. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing and was a Tony Stewart fan. He also enjoyed gardening, mowing, mushroom hunting, cooking, and wilderness television programs. He liked classic rock music and enjoyed remodeling his home. He is survived by a daughter, Lucretia J. (James) Snow of Chalmers; son, Paxton (Jayne) Snowberger of Monticello; 5 brothers, Ron (Teresa) Snowberger of Monticello, Carl (Diane) Snowberger of Lafayette, Steven (Cindy) Snowberger of Monticello, Norman Snowberger of Burnettsville, and Danny Snowberger of Monticello; and a granddaughter, Gabrielle Snowberger of Monticello. The family will receive visitors from noon until 3pm on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Memorial services will commence with military rites at 3pm, immediately following the visitation at the funeral home with Premier Hospice Chaplain Virgil Barker officiating.
