Dorothy M. Emme

Dorothy Mary Rose Emme, 87, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Monticello Healthcare.

She was born on March 31, 1936 in Limestone, Maine to the late Joseph Alphones and Marie (Lanoie) Beaulier. On March 9, 1987 she married Kenneth Emme. He preceded her in death August 12, 2016.

She was a graduate of Thomaston High School in Connecticut, Wisconsin School of Banking, and Wrights Beauty School in Logansport. She owned and operated Dorothy's Beauty Box in Burnettsville for six years. Dorothy later worked in banking and retired as Vice President of the Bank of Oxford, now Alliance Bank in 1999.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grand mother. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, reading, and was known for her chicken noodle soup and lasagna.

She is survived by four children, Cindy (Bill) Jones of ID, Lisa Farney of Monticello, Sharon (Bob) Williams of Monticello, Kevin Coble of Monticello; step-daughter, Cassie (Dean) Davenport of Logansport; two sisters, Shirley (Ed) Sweeny of PA, Diane (Frank) Vensel of SC.

In addition to her husband, Ken, she was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas R. Coble and sister, Jean Dowling.

Private burial will be in Davis Cemetery.
