Dorothy I. Whiteman, 73, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 11:42p.m. at St. Elizabeth Regional Health Lafayette. She was born July 24, 1934 in Carroll County, IN to the late Walter G. Parrett and the late Mildred E. (Cree)Parrett. Her marraige was to Gerald C. Whiteman on November 16, 1952 in Camden. He passed away on Sept. 4, 1998. She was a 1952 graduate of Camden High School. She was raised in the Lutheran Faith. Mrs. Whiteman worked in the secretarial and clerical division of Cheesebrough-Ponds for over 25 years. She later worked for the Law Office of Guy, Christopher, & Loy for a few years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Camden. She enjoyed reading, her family, and her grandchildren. Survivors include: Daughter, Teresa (Ron) Snowberger of Monticello; Son, Douglas (Mary) Whiteman of Buffalo;and Brother, Keith (Linda) Parrett of Camden, IN 8 Grandchildren, Cory Snowberger, Jerehme (Vonda) Walker, Jeff (Jodie) Walker, Alana (Kevin) Ingram, Jason (Lisa) Whiteman, Shane Whiteman, Phil (Noel) Whiteman, Bill (Erica) Whiteman 18 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and Daughter, Marcia Rush Visitation will be held from 5p.m. to 8p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Thursday, July 17, 2008, 11a.m with Pastor Keith Raderstorf officiating. Burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F.
