Donald G. Davis

Donald G. Davis, 78, of Monticello, died at 11:35am on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born on August 10, 1934 in Carroll County at the family home to the late William and Edna Davis. His marriage was to Patricia L. Davis on January 18, 1959 in Yeoman. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2010. He was a 1952 graduate of Monticello High School. He was a member of the Yeoman United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and owned operated Don's TV his entire life. He liked to play dartball at the Monticello United Methodist Church. He was also a HAM radio operator. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah L. Draper of Naperville, IL; son, Robert W. (Heather) Davis of Monticello; 2 Granddaughters, Nicole E. (Kyle) Wenzel, Anna F. Davis; Grandson, Miles N. Davis; Great Grandson, Henry J. Corbin. He is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Corbin. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date.
