Donald E. Deno

Donald E. "Don" Deno, 68, of Monticello, passed away at 4:35 pm on August 20, 2013 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born on November 1, 1944 to the late Kenneth J. and Marcella E. (Saylor) Deno at Rensselaer, IN. His marriage was to Janet L. Hirt on September 23, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives in Monticello. He was a 1962 graduate of Wolcott High School. Mr. Deno served in the National Guard as a second lieutenant. He owned and operated Deno Roofing and Fencing for 40 years. He loved to work and spend time with his grandkids. Mr. Deno enjoyed fishing and gardening and spending time with his dog. He is also survived by a daughter, Donya (Barry) Tirpak of Monticello; a son, Donte Deno of Monticello, IN; 2 sisters, SueAnn Dulin of Monticello, Donna Jones of Delphi; a sister-in-law, Lois (Steve) Brookshire of Des Moines, IA; 2 brothers-in-law, Michael (Sally) Hirt of Reynolds, Benjamin (Judy) Hirt of PA; 2 granddaughters, Coryn Tirpak of Monticello, Caitlin Tirpak of Monticello; a grandson, Corbin Tirpak of Monticello. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held privately on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
