Dolores R. Mctaggart

Dolores R. McTaggart, 84, of Monticello, died at 5:15 am, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born September 6, 1925 at Hammond to the late Presley and Maria (Herber) Gourley. Her marriage was to Frederick M. McTaggart on January 22, 1949, and he preceded her in death November 17, 1994. Mrs. McTaggart was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello. She had worked as a telephone operator with Youngstown Sheet and Tube, formerly of East Chicago. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann (the late Jim) Krol of Lowell; son, Patrick (Linda) McTaggart of Rochester; sister, Donna (Gene) Argentine of Arkansas; brother, Vernon (Pat) Gourley of Winamac, Indiana; two grandsons, Dale (Bridgett) Krol of Lowell, Wayne Krol of Lowell; granddaughter, Molly Krol of Fishers; and four great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by an infant sister Mary Ellen Gourley, and brother, Winford Gourley. Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am (CDT), Friday, July 16 at Covenant Presbyterian Church located at 6709 Arizona Ave., Hammond, IN. Graveside funeral services will be at 11:30 am (CDT), at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens mausoleum chapel located at 8178 Cline Ave, Schererville, IN. Rev. Fred W. Dorisse will officiate services.
