Dixie A. Geisler, 80, of Burnettsville, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Bickford Memory Care in Lafayette.
She was born on August 4, 1941 in White County near Headlee to the late Robert G. and Mildred (Keltner) Musall. On December 30, 1962, she married Doyle E. Geisler at the Idaville Church of God. He preceded her in death March 16, 2013.
She was a 1959 graduate of Royal Center High School and worked in the White County Treasurers office for 27 years, eight of which where she served as treasurer. She was a member of Burnettsville Church of the Brethren where she was active in the Women's Fellowship. Dixie's number one passion was her family, She was a nurturing person and made it a priority to extend aid to others. Her wit and sense of humor were enjoyed by many. Being an industrious woman, her hands were seldom idle over the years as she gardened, painted, decorated wedding cakes, served as a 4-H leader, a township trustee, and the county treasurer. She enjoyed her card club and was active in the Democrat Party.
Surviving are her daughters, Michelle (John) Blackburn of Delphi, Melody (Tony) Burns of Bloomington, IL; siblings, Doris Piercy of Monticello, Ralph Musall of FL; grandchildren, Seth Blackburn, Heidi Hall, Alex (Hannah) Blackburn, Abbey (A.J.) Robertson, Clayton Blackburn, Lydia Blackburn, Ashley (Kyle) Smith, Cameron Burns (fiance, Allison Bliss); great-grandchildren, Zayne, Kiara, Ellie, Sadie, Quinn, and Reese.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doyle she was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Geisler, and siblings, Bill Musall, Betty Stillwell, Jim Musall, and Nona Orr.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm (EST) Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dawn Wild of the Burnettsville Church of the Brethren officiating.
