Delma A. Maudlin, 92, of Monticello, died at 11:00 pm, Friday, March 18, 2011, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born on May 14, 1918 in Fulton County to the late Harley H. and Edna A. (Martin) Wynn. Her marriage was to Murray Maudlin on June 9, 1938 at Rochester. He preceded her in death June 9, 1981. She attended Kewanna High School and was a homemaker. At the age of fourteen, she held the family together as a mother figure and raised two of her sisters when their mother died. She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church. She was a longtime member of the White County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was involved and supported the White County Council on Aging. She is survived by two sons, Joe (Linda) Maudlin of Monticello, Gene (Julie) Maudlin of Portland, Oregon; sister, Mae Swigart of Clearwater, Florida; two half brothers, Marvin (Nyla) Snyder, Richard (Jerilyn) Peterson, both of Indiana; three grandsons, Brent (Annette) Maudlin of Bedford, Tadd Maudlin and friend Lindsay of Fiji, Matthew (Yi) Maudlin of Bangkok; granddaughter, Sara (Darryl) Feldman of Seattle , Washington; and great grandchildren, Jessica and Zachary. In addition to her husband, Murray, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Lowell, Al, Eli, and Paul Wynn; a sister Ruth Roach; and half sister, Sonja Gerig. A graveside memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev.
