David E. Powers Sr.

David E. Powers, Sr.,62, of Monticello passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 at his residence. He was born May 17, 1945 in Bloomington, IL to the late Wayne Gilbert Powers and the late Mary Bernice (Kauffman)Powers. He married Pamela (Rackett) Powers Sept. 1, 1966 in Bloomington, IL. She survives in Monticello. He graduated from Bloomington High School in Bloomington, IL. Mr. Powers was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an Over The Road truck Driver until his retirement. He attended the First Christian Church in Bloomington, IL. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed driving his truck and being with his family. Survivors include: 2 Sons, David E. Powers, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, IL, Kevin (Bree) Powers of Heyworth, IL; 2 Daughters, Tracey-Ann (Jeff) Smith of Monticello, IN, Christine (Jeff) Morrison of Monticello, IN Brother, Pete (Diane) Gane of Cupertino, CA; 2 Sisters, Michelle Fox of Pekin, IL, Cindy (Steve) Spindler of Whippany, NJ 15 Grandchildren and 2 Great Granchildren Preceded in Death: Parents Services and Burial were held on July 31, 2007 in Bloomington, IL Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home provided local assistance to the family.
