Daniel 'Danny' Creigh

Daniel E. Creigh, 57, of Indianapolis formerly of Monticello passed away at 7:47 pm, Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 6, 1954 in Fort Wayne to the late Terrence Michael Creigh and the surviving Joan Marie (Hambrock) Creigh of Monticello. He and the former Yolanda Boston were married on April 24, 1992 in Monticello, and she survives. He attended Monticello Christian Church while living in Monticello. He was a 1973 graduate of Twin Lakes High School and worked as a marine mechanic in the family business. He loved the water enjoying many water activities especially water skiing and fishing. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, snowmobile racing, bowling, and cooking. He also loved animals. Danny was a passionate, committed, and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a dedicated mentor and supporter of AA partners even driving many of them to AA meetings. Above all he loved his family and cherished time with them. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Also surviving are 2 sons, Nicholas and Patrick Creigh both of Indianapolis; sister, Patty Shelton of Monticello; 2 brothers, Gary (Kimberly) Creigh of Monticello, Michael (Mary) Creigh of Monticello; 3 nieces, Ashley Creigh of Indianapolis, Sara Shelton of Monticello, Katelyn Creigh of Monticello; and nephew, Larry Michael Creigh of Monticello. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 8 pm Friday, July 6 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services on Saturday at the Monticello Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday at Monticello Christian Church with Rev. Chris Dodson officiating. Private burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to an AA program of the donor's choice or to AGAPE Sober Homes for Men located at 2333 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46205.
