Connie M Dunn

Connie M. Dunn, 76, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on March 22, 1949 in Winamac to the late Fred and Margaret (Carson) Long. On April 9, 1994, she married Roy Dunn in Kendallville. He survives.

She was a graduate of Monterey High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and her Master's degree from Indiana University. She retired as a special education teacher after many years of teaching throughout Indiana. 

Connie enjoyed reading and baking. She baked everything from scratch. She was known for her yeast rolls. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived a healthy and holistic lifestyle.

In addition to her husband, Roy, she is survived by a daughter, Carrie Bishop of Delphi; sons, Tony Bitterling of Delphi, Jimmy (Katherine) Hayworth of Rochester; grandchildren, Jacob (Taylor) Park, Mason Bishop (companion, Jayden Floyd), Kirstin (Joel) Bailey, Catlin Bitterling; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Jaxon, Harlow, Ruby, Barrett, and a great grandson on the way; sister, Cathy (Dennis) Ringen of Winamac; and sister-in-law, Brenda Long of Monterey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Long; and grandson, Christopher.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services celebrating Connie's life at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastors Adam Morris and Ken Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to ARC Christian Ministries in Converse, IN. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
