Clyde Edward Sullivan,79, of Monon, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 12:10 p.m. at White County Memorial Hospital. He was born February 20, 1928 in Chicago to the late George Daniel Sullivan and the late Olga (Carlson)Sullivan. He married Noreen Sullivan May 27, 1952 in Chicago. She survives in Monon. Mr. Sullivan graduated from Chicago Vocational School in Chicago. He was a Merchant Marine. Mr. Sullivan worked as an electrical superintendent for the Republic Steel Mill in Chicago. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Lansing, IL. Mr. Sullivan a member of the American Legion in Monticello and the the Eagles in Monon. He was a mason. He was a great Father and Grandfather. Survivors include: 2 Sons, George (Susan E.) Sullivan of Chicago, IL, Clyde E. (Lisa) Sullivan, Jr. of Ravenswood, West Virginia Daughter, Kathleen N. (George) Caponi of Carson City, Nevada 4 Grandsons, Clyde Sullivan III of Frankfort, Germany, Dominick Caponi of Carson City, Nevada, Anthony Caponi of Carson City, Nevada, Michael Sullivan of Ravenswood, West Virginia; Granddaughter, Sara Sullivan of Ravenswood, West Virginia He was preceded in death by Parents; One son, Patrick Sullivan; One Brother; and One Sister. Visitation will be held 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Springer Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, Nevada. Memorials may be given to the Chicago Humane Society, 157 West Grand Ave., Chicago IL 60610 in Memory of CLyde Sullivan. Please join the family at the Monon Eagles following visitation.
