Cheryl L. Colliver, 60 of Martinsville passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington.
She was born in Cicero, IL on August 12, 1964 to the late Fredrick William and Dorothy Jean "Dottie" Robb Goebel. Dottie married Reginald "Reg" Shireman when Cheryl was a little girl and Dottie and Reg raised Cheryl. On June 8, 1991 at the home her parents, Dottie and Reg's in Monticello, Cheryl married the love of her life Douglas Colliver and he survives.
Cheryl was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School and attended Ivy Tech. She owned and operated Colliver Insurance in Indianapolis until her retirement. She served on the leadership team of Business Networking International (BNI) where she formed many meaningful and close relationships.She enjoyed humming birds and flowers. She enjoyed spending time on the lake with her friends and family. Above all in her life, she cherished her husband, children, and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Doug of Martinsville; daughters, Heather (Ryan) Stokes of Camby and Elizabeth "Liz" Colliver (fiance, Nicholas Mock) of Carmel; grandchildren, Alexys, Colton, and Palmer Stokes; great-granddaughter, Bellamie Grintead; brother David (Lori) Shireman of St. Petersburg, FL; and sisters Lyndsay (Matt) Champion and Kristen (Travis) Collins.
In addition to her parents, Fredrick Goebel and Dottie and Reg Shireman, Cheryl is preceded in death by brothers, Richard and John Shireman.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4pm until 8pm (EDT) at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. The funeral home is located at 202 S. Illinois St., Monticello, IN 47960.
Funeral services celebrating Cheryl's life will be Saturday at 10am (EDT) at the funeral home with close friend, Pastor Ross Reeder officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monticello.
