Cary Davis, 66, of Monticello, Indiana died of ALS at home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
He was born in Monticello on September 21, 1958 to Clyde and Doris (Landes) Davis. He graduated from Twin Lakes High School in 1977.
Over the years he worked at Sare’s egg farm, John Deere shops (12 years), Caterpillar (30 years 27 days), and Jon Lilly Excavating & Drainage (5 years). He was married to Terri (Stangle) Davis, and she survives.
Cary enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also liked to ride the Harley, visit antique shops, go to car shows, and attend the NHRA US Nationals events with family. He always made time to support his children and grandchildren in their activities as well. In recent years he could be seen at nearly all the basketball games his son coached and regularly showed up to support his grandson at his sporting events.
Cary was preceded in death by his parents (Clyde and Doris Davis) and brother (Keith Davis). He is survived by 3 children [Kelly Miller of Monticello, Carl (Monica) Davis of Lucerne, and Kristi (Ernesto) Camarena of Albuquerque, NM; 3 beloved grandchildren (Addison, Elina, and Elise); 2 sisters [Carol (Keith) Graham and Kay (Paul) Finley]; a sister-in-law (Nancy Davis); and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice of Logansport for their exceptional care and support during the final weeks of Cary’s life.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2p.m. - 6p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. A memorial service celebrating Cary’s life will be held at 11a.m. Monday, March 10 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Bethel Church of Monticello.
