Carolyn M. Jones

Carolyn M. Jones, 75, Monticello died at 9:49 pm, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Whispering Pines of Monticello. She was born February 18, 1937 in White County to the late John A. and Tracey M. (Rieken) Kraay. Her marriage was to Harold T. Jones on June 2, 1962 in White County, and he preceded her in death June 11, 2011. Carolyn was a graduate of Monticello High School and was primarily a homemaker, however, when her son was a child she worked at several restaurants. She loved to cook. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Steven D (Kathy) Jones of Reynolds; 2 daughters, Luann (Gary) Hinton, Kimretta (David) Dubanski; 6 grandchildren, Lance Jones, Joey Rayburn, Bryan Hinton, Charles Carrothers, Logan Beausoleil, Vanesa Ragen; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Russell Kraay; and a sister, Ruth Gish. Visitation will be from 6pm until the time of services at 8pm, Wednesday, September 12 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Dodson officiating. Private burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
