Carol Blohm

Carol L. Blohm, 69, of Peru, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. 

She was born on September 7, 1955 in Lafayette to the late Cecil and Dorotha (Roach) Allen.

She was a 1974 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. 

Carol was a passionate volunteer at the Salvation Army in Peru where she worked in the food pantry, volunteered in the thrift store and rang the bell for many years. She was very proud to receive the Salvation Army volunteer of the year award in 2009. She enjoyed cross word puzzles, word search, playing cards and board games, and watching game shows. She enjoyed poetry and reading.

She is survived by two daughters, Joanne (Paul) Mosher of Monon, Jennifer (David) White of Wabash; sister, Linda (Larry) Johns of Delphi; brother, Richard Allen of Monticello; five grandchildren, Levi (Anna) Mosher, Caleb Mosher, Gracey Mosher, Ellee Mosher, all of Monon and Roland White of Wabash; great grandchild, Joanna Rose Mosher, and one on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Lowe.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Buffalo Christian Church with Harold Rutledge officiating.

Burial will be in Yeoman Cemetery later this spring.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army. Envelopes will be available at the church.
