Carmoletta E. Schroder

Carmoletta E. Schroder,86 of Monticello, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 9:36pm at White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born July 11, 1922 in Douglas County, IL to Hans J. Rahn and Irene A.D. (Rahn) Rahn. She married Cecil Schroder on February 1, 1942 in Attica, IN. He passed away in June 30,1994. She was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church. Mrs. Schroder retired from Byrans Manufacturing. She also worked at the the Restaurant and Tippecanoe County Club. Although she never gave birth to any children of her own, she was regarded as a mother figure by many. She had many photos of children whom she befriended and still knew each of them by name. Mrs. Schroder enjoyed playing Senior Center BINGO. Memorials may be made to the New Hope Lutheran Church. She is survived by her Sisters, Lenora LaDell Rahn of Monticello, IN, Wandalee I. Eggers of North Salem, IN Many Cousins and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and 1 Sister, Elvira Perry and 2 Brothers, Earl and Clarence Rahn. Burial will take place at Johnson Cemetery in White County, IN. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Monday, September 8, 2008 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Fuenral Home. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to 11am services Tuesday at the New Hope Lutheran Church.
