Cale Benjamin Paschen, 16, of Brookston, died on Monday, June 22, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born March 17, 1993 in Lafayette to Mark L. and De Anna (Fischer) Paschen. They survive in Brookston. Cale lived in Ohio for 9 years, moving back to White County in 2002. Cale was going to be a Junior at Frontier High School this fall. He played football and ran track at Frontier High School. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello. Cale liked quarter-midget racing. He was active in White County 4-H Shooting Sports. Cale was addicted to computer and video games. His favorite computer game was World of Warcraft and his favorite video game was Gears of War. He loved paint ball. Cale loved birds, stars, animals and dinosaurs. Cale also liked fishing. He was an avid Boliermaker fan and enjoyed attending Purdue sports events. Cale was a very loving, passionate, and mischievous teen who believed he could fix everything with his smile. Along with his parents, Cale is survived by a Brother, Zachary Spille, and Sister, Allie Paschen both at home; Maternal Grandparents, Ross (Beverly) Fischer of Monticello, Paternal Grandmother, Merilyn Rostel of Columbus, OH; Paternal Grandfather, James (Marilyn) Paschen of Monticello; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Visitation will be from 4p.m. until 8p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2009, Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello. Friends may all call one hour prior to services at the church Friday. Funeral services will be at 2p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church Rev. Ruby Kleymann officiating. Burial will be at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cale Benjamin Paschen Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the Farmers State Bank of Brookston.
