Bonnie B. Duddy, 82, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 8:45 am, at the home of her granddaughter in Lafayette. She was born on October 19, 1926 in Byesville, Ohio to the late Carl W. and Cornelia (Nunley) McHenry. Her marriage was to Virgil Robert Bob Duddy on January 21, 1961 in Monticello. He passed away on January 28, 2009 Mrs. Duddy lived in Monticello since 1960 coming here from Decatur, Georgia. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello. She had worked at the Whites Dime Store for 4 years. She also worked at the old Monticello Nursing Home on N. Illinois St. as a CNA for several years, and also at Monticello Healthcare. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monticello. Mrs. Duddy liked to work crossword puzzles and play YATZEE. Above all, she loved her Lord and was a faithful servant. Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Patricia C. (Charles) Pearson of Olympia , WA, Janice Wollenhaupt of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. A stepdaughter, Jacklyn (Dennis F.) Long of Kendallville, IN, and Stepson,James D. (Susan) Duddy of Kimmell, IN. She also raised 2 of her granddaughters, Sandra Martindale, of Lafayette, and Shelley (Bill) Wollenhaupt-Shircliff of Peru. 2 Brothers, Arliss (Jackie) McHenry of Cambridge, OH, Melvin McHenry of Byesville, OH. 3 Sisters, Delores "Berdine" Williamson of Avella, Pennsylvania, Janet (Wayne) Redd of Senecaville, OH, Linda White of Goshen, 9 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 1 Step Grandchild, and One Great Great Granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her Son, Richard D. Allison; 3 Sisters, Bessie Eubanks, Margie Abrams, and Irene Mallett Visitation will be from11am to 1 pm Saturday, April 11, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Monticello. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm at the church Saturday with Rev. Ryan Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello.
