Beverly J. Fischer, 83, of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Monticello, IN passed away at 4:03 pm, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her home in Londonderry surrounded by her daughters.She was born at home on February 14, 1935 in Taylorville, IL. On December 3, 1955, in Watseka, IL she married Ross M. Fischer and he preceded her in death May 21, 2013.Beverly was a graduate of Buckley Loda High School in Buckley, IL. She took great pride in her role as a mother, homemaker and philanthropist.Beverly was an avid bridge player. She found joy in flower and vegetable gardening, traveling the world with Ross and spoiling her grandchildren. She was very active in the Monticello Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon, and various posts within the Presbyterian woman. She was kindly referred to as the "noodle lady" as she served as chair for the noodle making and serving the dinner during the annual bazaar. She was a past president of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, in addition to many of the sororitys other offices. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, served on the Disaster Relief Board following the tornado in 1974 and served in other various philanthropic capacities throughout White County.Surviving are her daughters, Jo Anna (Chris) Elliott of Terre Haute, IN; De Anna (Mark) Paschen of Brookston, IN; Anna Lyn (Tyler) Perrin of Litchfield, NH; grandchildren, Marc (Amy) Elliott and Ross Elliott, Zachary (Kelsey) Spille, Allie Paschen, and Emma Perrin; two great grandchildren, Dylan Elliott and Henry Spille. siblings, Shirley (Dallas) Braye of Nokomis, IL; Carolyn Wanack of Williamsport; Nancy Walstad of Orem, UT, Jackie (Rich) Jenkins of Johnsburg, IL, and Michael (Gloria) Thompson of Frankfort, IN.In addition, to her husband Ross, she was preceded in death by her mother Emma (Gleason) Thompson; and grandsons, Jack Perrin and Cale Paschen.A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello from 10 am (EDT) until noon. A Delta Theta Tau memorial service will follow at noon. Memorial services celebrating Beverly's life will immediately follow at the church with Pastor Brandan Eddy officiating. A luncheon service will be provided in the Fellowship hall of the church, immediately following services.Private burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be given to the White County Community Foundation for benefit of the Fischer "Helping Hands" Fund or to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
